shifting (has anyone else tried?)

he folks...i recently found a way to upshift and downshift without ever taking my foot off the peg.

easier on the shifter rod, cause you downshift by foot pivot instead of stomping.

it intails adjusting the shifter way down...about 1" lower than standard...it will now be impossible to upshift in the normal manner, cause you won't be able to get your boot under the shifter.

instead, you now upshift with the sole of your boot (inside edge by the toe...your boot sole sticks out far enough unless you wear running shoes...a no no anyway)....then the down shifting is very easy by resting your foot on the peg and just pivoting your foot...thus, eliminating stomping pressure to the shifter rod which can break on ocassion.

does anyone else shift this way?
